ABOUT RDA...
Revolution Dance Academy offers recreational dance classes based in Gartcosh for kids age 3+.
Revolution Dance Academy (RDA) was previously known as 'Revolution Dance & Theatre Academy' but was taken over & re branded by Maxine & Mhairi in early 2021.
Both Maxine & Mhairi are professionally trained dancers & qualified dance teachers that are still currently performing in the performing arts industry.
At RDA we hope to give the dancers enough training, performance experience and guidance over the years to prepare them for further dance education if they wish ie College Training/Teaching, while still keeping it fun for those that participate as a hobby.
We aim to build confidence in our dancers and provide a fun/professional environment for everyone that comes through our door.
Here at RDA we offer opportunities to take part in Summer Camps, Fun Days & School trips to the theatre etc as well as bringing in some of the best performers/teachers in the industry as guest teachers/workshops.
MEET THE TEAM
Miss Maxine
Co Owner | Principal Teacher
- Certified Acrobatic Arts Teacher
Maxine is a professionally trained dancer that gained a HND in Professional Stage Dance before continuing her training at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts.
Maxine has 8+ years experience of teaching & performing. She teaches freelance at various dance schools/high schools as well as regularly taking auditions for DA Management Agency.
Over the years Miss Maxine has been in & continues to be in performances such as Pantomimes, Stage Shows & Tributes Acts. She has also danced in movies: Sunshine on Leith, Anna & The Apocalypse & Bell Bottom as well as doing some extra work for TV.
Maxine was a member of the Scottish Rockettes during season 17/18 - 18/19, which seen her perform at various events, weekly basket ball games & at the Beach Soccer Tournament in Morocco.
She is current dancer/dancer captain & show co producer for 'Tribute Act Entertainment' which has successful tribute acts of Dua Lipa, Little Mix, Rihanna & Ariana Grande.
Miss Mhairi
Co Owner | Principal Teacher
Mhairi attended dance classes from the age of 4 and has had a passion for it ever since. She gained her HND in Professional Stage Dance in 2013 and has since went on to work professionally as well as teach.
She has performed in 'Please Stay' at the Pavilion Theatre, Glasgow as well at dancing at various corporate events showcasing different dance styles.
Mhairi toured with 2 circus' - Circus Vegas, touring all of Scotland and Do Portugal Circus, touring Central America where she did daily shows and tv performances.
Mhairi was a member of the Scottish Rockettes in 2017/18 season performing at multiple events & basketball games.
Miss Mhairi currently teaches for the Babyballet franchise and regularly covers various classes at other dance schools as well as teaching at RDA.
Miss Keira
Assistant Teacher | Senior Dancer
Keira has been dancing since the age of 4 & has always loved dance. She has performed in many shows and competed in various competitions throughout the years.
Keira has performed in many pantomimes such as Jack & The Beanstalk, Aladdin & Beauty and The Beast. In addition to this Keira was a dancer in local productions of Hairspray & Mary Poppins The Musical.
Keira has been a teaching assistant since 2018 and has continued to assist at RDA since the new ownership.
Over the past year Keira has undertook both a 'Lyrical, Jazz & Pom' teaching course as well as a Hip Hop teaching course. To widen her knowledge of these styles and giving her certification to teach these styles.

Assistant Teacher | Senior Dancer
Amy started teaching for RDA in January 2022 after previously coming in as a guest teacher to take our juniors for a workshop at our 2021 Summer Camp.
She has danced and competed for many years in Pom, Lyrical, Jazz, Hip Hop & Commercial. As well as this Amy has taken her dance exams at a high level in various styles. Amy attended a Hip Hop Teaching course to give her the knowledge and certification to teach this style to our younger dancers.
This year Amy will continue on her own dance journey, furthering her dance education by attending New College Lanarkshire to attain her HND in Dance whilst still teaching/dancing here at RDA.
